The
Voice Squad to Reform Ireland's leading traditional acapella group The Voice Squad are set for a reunion concert in Dublin's National Concert Hall on St. Patrick's Day (Mar 17th) in the Ceili House Live concert as part of the St. Patrick's Festival. This long awaited reunion will be the group's first appearance together since they performed on stage for the opening ceremony of the Special Olympic World Games 2003. The Voice Squad's (Phil Callery, Fran McPhail and Gerry Cullen) style is the union of the distinct tenor voices of Fran and Phil plus the bass of Gerry, along with their own particular arrangements of good songs, that has made them one of the most distinctive unaccompanied singing groups of recent times. RELEASE Frankie Gavin & De Dannan - Jigs, Reels & Rock n’ Roll Since 2009 Frankie Gavin has been back on the road and with the new De Dannan. members. The current line-up being Frankie, Damien Mullane, Eric Cunningham, Mike Galvin and Michelle Lally. Such has been the reaction to the band, they have now released a new CD ‘Jigs, Reels & Rock n’ Roll’ on the Tara Music Label. The album contains fifteen tracks of classic De Dannan music including musical pieces more commonly associated with the like of the Beatles, Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood, along with the very best of Irish Traditional music.
